I'm Jerry. Been working on web sites for a while. Have used both WordPress and HTML based sites, using templates, themes, page designers and hard coding. Still looking for the easier way to get exactly what I need. CSS is my biggest challenge.
My preferred environment is running a MAMP stack on MACs then uploading to live server. I find having my MAC time-machine backup is a real life saver sometimes. Have not used DW on localhost.
Familiar with the non-audio/video parts of Adobe CC. For images, photoshop, Lightroom and the occasional illustrator for graphics. Have used InDesign for magazine layout and publication.
Involved in a development project related to adventure tourism and also a non-profit supporting small adventure tourism operators world-wide. It is down to integrating plugins using php, css and sql. getting harder.
Participate in a number of MeetUp groups such as Advanced Wordpress, Full Stack and Front End Authority. Plan to attend WordCamp San Diego in April. I learn and it keeps me motivated.
If anyone needs a worthwhile project to work on, the non-profit is a blank page right now. Domain will be AdventureAlliance.org.
