Hi,
I realize I'm a bit late for this assignment however it is done. I decided to use the first technique described in the 'Adding background to the column container', which seemed pretty easy after switching to a fixed widths. Overall, I feel pretty confident I met all the requirements for this assignment and learned something new in the process.
