Hello my name is Alex Lincoln and I'm on my final semester here at Palomar. I have a little bit of experience with web design having taken a previous course with Professor Fontanella. I am taking this course to improve my skill set and improve upon my design skills. I will likely be using vim as my text editor and running my own web server locally to test out my designs, then once finished upload them using sftp via command line. Alternatively, I could also try out brackets.io if I struggle. As far as creating graphics, I will probably use GIMP. If I'm not able to achieve what I need, I'll use my photoshop fallback on my Windows 7 virtual machine. I look forward to taking this course.

You have some interesting software choices. I want to play around with Brackets a bit, too. I guess is has a really good extension that can help your quickly turn a Photoshop mockup into a Web page. I haven't tried it, yet, but hope to soon.
I'm really happy to see you back. Should be a fun semester.
